Boston has a ton of talent; we already know that and the girls coming from this area a fierce and loud. So as promised this is the follow up to
last week. The guys from Massachusetts have a lot going for them as well. From
Punk to Pop and Rock as well as everything in between there is a band are
artist everyone loves from Boston. Boys Like Girls, Areosmith and others have
already made it big, but here’s a couple you might not have heard of before.
Formed in Boston in 2007 this trio has been gaining notoriety since their formation for their catchy sound. Getting attention from Boston Music Spotlight and KISS 108 they are a group to watch for in the future. While they have run on national tours, they still play smaller venues in the Boston area so now is your chance to see them before they start selling out major venues. Unfortunately there are no shows in the direct future, but there is plenty of footage to get you ready for the next time they come in town. Check out below and download their latest EP if you like what you hear.
Looking for something a little mellower, something to study
for midyears with? McAlister drives combines rock, folk and everything in
between for an awesome sound. They’ll be in Dorcester and Somerville during the
next week, but after that they leave for Flordia, so take a listen now and
catch them in concert before they’re off.
If you’re looking for something a little bit more intense,
Transit has been a Boston staple for years. Consistently circling the local
area and playing with bands like A Loss For Words they have developed a punk
sound to be rivaled by many. Again, they aren’t playing locally, but the always
come back around so stay on the look out.
If you love these guys, download their album to show your support. Next week will be the music part of The Secret Life's Halloween specials!
