Most of us listen to music every day, and here is your chance to get updated on everything from Pop to Indie, from Local to Global. I want to know what you guys want to hear, find playlists to fit every mood and introduce you to new sounds every Wednesday. Just so we're on the same page, I'm going to show you a couple of songs what's been on repeat on my iPod during the last few weeks.
1. One More Night- Maroon 5
Now, once we all get over Adam Levine being an absolute GOD, I can clearly say that this is another addictive song from this band. They have been a guilty pleasure since 2002 (I bet you feel old now) when they released their first CD Songs About Jane. I would say download all their albums, but if you need something upbeat to start, this second single from Overexposed will do the trick.
Love them already? Try: Imagine Dragons Walk Off the Earth
2. You Need Me, I Don't Need You- Ed Sheeran
This lovely export from London played at The House of Blues a few weeks ago and absolutely blew my mind. If you haven't hear him yet you must live under a rock. If you really haven't heard him, then start listening. Not only does he play this song live, he creates the beats live through using a loop petal all by himself. This man is one of the truest talents out there today, combining this hip hop style song with his many folk-inspired tracks.
Love him already? Try: Passenger, Damien Rice
3. Youth- Daughter
Now I have listened to Daughter for a couple years now, and couldn't decide on this song, or Candles. Both are perfectly relaxing, fitting of the mood of the last couple rainy days we've had. I haven't seen much of her touring, but her songs are definitely worth a listen.
Love her already? Try: Ingrid Michaelson, Foxes
Now I can keep going through the 4000 songs in my music library, or you can tell me what YOU like to listen too, what kind of playlist you need to get through your day or if you know a local act that everyone else should know too. Leave me a comment, like us on Facebook, or Tweet (@secretlifeofbos)
